Paul, Peter, and the crew at this operation have clearly mastered both the technical and human side of paragliding. Reviewers consistently highlight how the instructors prioritize safety without killing the thrill—they wait for perfect conditions, explain everything clearly, and have guests feeling secure within moments of launch. The flights take off from Haleakala's volcanic slopes, and multiple people describe it as a trip highlight, with some returning year after year. The "Top Gun" option gets particular praise for its extended airtime and the chance to soar through clouds with rainbow halos. What stands out is how welcoming the team makes first-timers feel. People ranging from age 14 to 70 mention having their nerves instantly calmed by the friendly, professional approach. The instructors let you steer if you want, offer optional "roller coaster" maneuvers for thrill-seekers, and capture photos and videos to share at no extra charge. Plan your morning around this since Haleakala's winds can be unpredictable, but the crew's expertise in reading local conditions means you're in capable hands. Note that participants must be at least 14 years old.
Amazing first time experience paragliding. The guides were amazing, from the base of the ridge to the top they had wonderful stories to keep us entertained as we hiked up. You can feel the love that the staff have for paragliding through the entire experience. Overall, 10/10 experience a definite must do when visiting Maui! Side note; The hike isn’t a normal part of the experience, due to the storms the road was closed to vehicle traffic, normally they would van you to the jump point.
