The Flying Bike stands out as a locally-owned business deeply connected to Asheville's community. Owner Torin consistently earns praise for his passionate storytelling and genuine love for the city, with many reviewers mentioning how he personalizes tours to match group interests. Guides like Josh, Matt, Ethan, and Brian get special recognition for being knowledgeable, friendly, and ensuring everyone feels comfortable on the bikes. Several travelers recommend doing this tour on your first day in Asheville since it provides such a great overview of the city's layout and highlights. The e-bikes themselves are easy to operate, even for those who haven't cycled in years, and handle Asheville's hills with ease. Tours cover impressive ground, from downtown landmarks to scenic spots like UNC Asheville and the Grove Park Inn, with stops at local gems along the way. Both rental and tour customers mention the attentive, helpful staff who make sure bikes are properly fitted before heading out. The experience feels authentic and enriching, especially since Torin shares personal stories about Asheville's recent challenges and resilience.

This is an excellent tour company that really cares about giving their customers an experience. My group of 12 had an educational experience as the owner really took the time to story tell about Asheville and many of its landmarks including his own building that was part of the devastation from last year. Having been in a few natural disasters it made me appreciate this tour that much more for how he wanted to continue to give his passion for a city that he loves. It made me want to tell everyone to come visit. Additionally, with some luck we saw a mama and three bear cubs taking a stroll through downtown Asheville, a stop at a chocolate factory, a vegan festival that was going on, as well as the many lookout points at UNC Asheville to The Historic Grove Park Inn. I highly recommend the tour.
