Travelers consistently praise Edward as an exceptional driver and guide who makes the journey to Whitney Plantation as memorable as the destination itself. He's noted for being punctual, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable about New Orleans landmarks and history. His commentary is both informative and entertaining, with guests appreciating his engaging personality and thorough explanations about pickup and drop-off procedures. The transportation runs smoothly overall, with clean buses and convenient hotel pickups. A few guests mentioned occasional road noise that made it harder to hear the commentary at times, and there was one mention of a late pickup. However, the overwhelming sentiment focuses on the quality of the experience and the wealth of historical information shared during the ride. The service seems particularly well-suited for those heading to Whitney Plantation who want more than just transportation—you'll get a rich educational experience that sets the stage for the tour ahead.
We had a great experience during our trip to Whitney. Edward, our bus driver, was funny and informative giving us cool facts on the history of Louisiana. It was cool to hear from someone proud/passionate of where's he's from. Drive was smooth to and from and only about an hour. Plenty of time to explore the plantation. I got a lot of the self guided audio but would like to do guided next time. The memorials and stories you encounter stay with you. A true worthy experience that I hope all Americans can learn from. My only suggestion is the communication of hotel pick up time could have been given sooner, possibly the night before. They called 30 mins before and gave detailed instructions but I wish I knew the exact time and could have made breakfast plans before. All in all, highly recommend this!
