Plaza de la Constitucion, St Augustine, Florida
This golf cart tour through St Augustine's historic district seems to hit the sweet spot for most visitors, especially those who want to absorb the city's rich history without wearing out their feet. The standout here is clearly the guides, with Robert (who also goes by Bob) earning enthusiastic shoutouts for his storytelling abilities and deep knowledge of local history and ghost lore. Multiple reviewers mention how he makes the experience both educational and entertaining, delivering historical facts and spooky legends with humor and natural charisma that keeps groups engaged throughout. The golf cart format gets consistent praise as an ideal way to cover ground after long days of exploring on foot. People appreciate that it flows continuously without the constant on-and-off interruptions of trolley tours, and families especially note how well it works across generations. The tour appears to offer both daytime historical versions and ghost-themed evening rides. However, there are a couple of notable dissenting voices who found their ghost tour disappointing, citing issues with guide engagement, lack of historical depth, and underwhelming paranormal content. One reviewer felt their guide was monotone and disengaged, while another thought their guide relied too heavily on phone photos rather than substantive storytelling. These seem to be exceptions rather than the rule, but they suggest the experience can vary depending on which guide you get and what you're hoping for from a ghost tour specifically.
This was a great family friendly tour. Not super scary, but definitely creepy and the stories are cool. What I love about this tour is you can go on the golf carts, and you’re in a smaller group. It feels more personal and you don’t have to walk everywhere. I also love that you can get out at certain spots and try to catch “paranormal” orbs (or anything else) with your camera. It’s fun to look back through the pictures later and see what showed up. Our tour guide, Gary, was great. He really knew his stuff. If you want to hear some creepy historical stories about St. Augustine, this is great.
