The rainforest waterfall hikes here deliver something truly special, with knowledgeable guides who consistently earn praise for making each trek memorable. Guides like Gail, Joel, Caden, Ali, Brian, and George come up repeatedly for their deep expertise about local plants, island history, and ecosystems. They'll point out wild guava and lilikoi for tasting along the way, and they clearly prioritize safety while maximizing the fun. Many reviewers mention cliff jumping and swimming under waterfalls as highlights, with guides providing patient encouragement for first-timers. The experience takes you to waterfalls on private property you couldn't access otherwise, and the terrain requires a moderate fitness level. You'll be walking across creeks, navigating slippery rocks and roots, and definitely getting wet, so proper water shoes with good grip are essential. Families with kids from age 8 and up have had wonderful times, and even rainy conditions don't seem to diminish the adventure. Several people wished they'd booked the longer tour option because the experience felt too good to end. The guides' training and local knowledge really set these tours apart from what you might find elsewhere.
We had a fabulous experience hiking Haleakalā! Our guide Brian was extremely knowledgeable, fun, and the views from atop the volcano were incredible! I highly recommend!
