Guided clear kayak tour
Paddle through Winter Park’s lakes in a clear tandem kayak on a relaxing, guided tour. Choose a daytime, sunset, or glow-in-the-dark option and cruise Venetian-style canals lined with lakefront homes and wildlife.
Kayaks are tandem only, with a 250 lb per-person limit and 425 lb combined limit per boat. Children ages 3–17 must share a kayak with an adult; no children 2 or under. Gratuity is not included.
All sales final; no cancellations. Arrive 15 minutes early—late arrivals are a no show with no refund or reschedule. In unsafe weather, you can reschedule or get a full refund.
Arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled tour time. If you arrive after the tour start time, you will be marked as a no show and you cannot get a refund or reschedule.
Wear sandals or waterproof shoes, and plan to remove your shoes before getting into the kayak. Wear clothes you don’t mind getting wet. Bring water and consider bringing a towel.
Restrooms are available at the launch area, but they close at sunset. If you book the glow-in-the-dark tour, plan ahead.

Guides make all the difference here, and the team consistently delivers. Hudson, Wilson, Jansen, and Keith all earn enthusiastic shoutouts for being knowledgeable, funny, and genuinely engaging throughout the tours. People love learning about Winter Park's waterfront mansions and local history while paddling through scenic canals and calm lakes. The clear kayaks let you peek at what's beneath you, and the well-padded seats with back support keep everyone comfortable during the journey. This tour offers a refreshing break from Orlando's typical attractions, with beautiful scenery and relaxed vibes that work perfectly for first-time kayakers. The sunset tours get particular praise for their stunning views and laid-back atmosphere. One guest mentioned difficulty hearing the guide's commentary during their tour and suggested microphone improvements, though this didn't seem to be a widespread issue. Overall, it's a unique way to experience a different side of the area, and many visitors are already planning return trips for the bioluminescence tour.
We had a wonderful time on a clear kayaking daytime tour with our guide Keith. He was very informative and explained everything really well. 3 out of 4 of us had not kayaked before and he made this an easy experience. Just an FYI, you can wear your shoes to the kayak. You take them off and place them in your kayak. Life jackets are available if you feel you need it. It would be difficult I think to fall out unless you’re messing around. Great experience and I would highly recommend. My husband and 18 & 21 year old loved it and would do it again! Thanks Keith!
