Explore Yellowstone’s Canyon area on a guided 5–6 hour hike that starts at the Upper Falls and follows the south rim before heading inland. Walk through varied landscapes with a small group and a professional naturalist/biologist guide.
Meeting time is 8:30am, and reservations require a minimum of 2 people. The hike is moderate with steep ups and downs; early on there is a 1,500 ft drop-off with an 8 ft wide trail. Yellowstone National Park entry fee is not included.
Cancel at least 48 hours before your hiking trip for a full refund. Full refund if the operator cancels due to bad weather; they may try to reschedule. Trips may be canceled at the last minute if conditions are unsafe.
Dress in layers and bring more layers than you think you’ll need; Yellowstone weather can change quickly. Wear hiking boots or tennis shoes with good traction and wool socks. Bring full rain gear (rain jacket and rain pants), sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, SPF lip balm), any needed medicines, a daypack, and at least 1 liter of water. Avoid cotton and jeans; choose quick-drying clothing.
The hike is rated moderate with some steep ups and downs. Early in the hike, you’ll walk along a section with a 1,500 ft drop-off and a trail about 8 feet wide, so plan accordingly if heights are a concern.
