    Review summary

    4.4
    Very Good
    65 reviews•Google Maps

The tour guides here really make the experience. Multiple reviewers single out guides like Garrett, Raymond, Brenton, and Rebecca for their knowledge, storytelling ability, and genuine passion for the region. People consistently mention how these guides bring the landscape to life with local history and humor, making stops at waterfalls, scenic viewpoints, and sometimes spotting wildlife like mountain goats and bears along the way. The various tours, especially those heading up to White Pass Summit and into the Yukon, get enthusiastic recommendations. Many travelers note this is a better value than cruise ship excursions while offering the same spectacular scenery with more photo opportunities. The buses are comfortable, groups stay manageable in size, and the overall vibe is friendly and personable. A couple of reviews mention disappointment with cancellations due to no-shows from larger parties, which left those travelers unable to rebook. These instances seem isolated, but if you're on a tight schedule, it's worth confirming your tour details. Overall, the guides' expertise and the stunning Alaskan scenery create memorable experiences that travelers rave about.

Funny tour guide—I can’t believe I forgot his name! But he was very good at explaining things and I especially liked the explanation of the water being so blue He also explained how he came to Alaska and become a tour guide, you really just have to go on a tour yourself Walk around town and head on a bus!
